Dr. Valmarie Rhoden, SAVES District Representative

Dr. Valmarie Rhoden served Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 37 years before retiring as the principal of William H. Turner Technical Arts High School in 2009. She held several positions in the Department of Career Technical Education and School Operations related to School to Work, Tech Prep, Small Learning Communities, Workforce Development, and Adult Basic Education. From 2011 to 2013, Dr.  Rhoden was the Program Director at Informed Families/The Florida Family Partnership, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to drug prevention education in schools throughout Florida. The Red Ribbon Month is the signature campaign for Informed Families.  She joined the SAVES team in 2017, working primarily with the Success Management Academy Program. Dr. Rhoden has a Doctor’s Degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from Florida International University where she also served as an adjunct professor for Vocational Education. Dr. Rhoden is committed to providing students with excellence, rigor, and hope for bright futures.
